'From drawing on a serviette while waiting for an aeroplane , I went on to create the world's fastest four door shooting brake car' - BARRY WEIR
A Piece Of Automobile History.
Many people have scribbled down rough sketches of a car while bored but few have turned that idea into reality.
When Barry Weir was sat at an airport one day waiting for his flight he started drawing on a napkin how he’d like to redesign of the Aston Martin Rapide car.
And incredibly, Barry decided to run with the idea and ended up producing the fastest four door shooting-brake car in the world with a top speed of 197 mph.
Not only that but Barry’s new Jet 2+2 was approved by Aston Martin itself.
The car was built in conjunction with legendary Italian coachbuilder Bertone and was launched to huge critical acclaim at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014.
It turned out to be the last car ever built by Bertone before the company went bust which helped secure its place in motoring history.
At one point Aston Martin wanted to put the car into production but Bertone’s demise meant that it never happened.
However, this meant that Barry has ended up with a truly unique Aston Martin car that it a complete one-off.
The car is now for sale. For more details visit the website Aston Martin Jet 2+2 For Sale.
